Volvo AD41 Filters - again :)

Hi there,

I managed to get the time to do a test on the AD41, filters and smoking.

1, Fitted new Volvo filters, very little change in smoke from old.
2, Started port engine without filters - virtually no smoke.
3, Performance at sea was identical for both engines.

I don't like the idea of running without filters so am going to fit K&N's. My boat is a couple of hours away and I would like to order the filters before I go down.

Does anyone know the diameter of the Turbo Inlet so I can order the correct ones.

In case anyone searches on this topic.

Diameter of the flange is 70mm.

K&N part number for the largest filter that will fit is: RU- 0940.

Just ordered them, will fit them within a couple of weeks of them arriving and will report back in case it is of use to anyone.

I fitted the same or at least very similar to my TAMD60c - no problems. I use 3in1 spray oil instead of K&Ns branded priming oil. I wouldn't use WD40 as it mostly evaporates.
