Hello
Is there anybody who can give me some advice re one of my 290 legs. Had a replacement upper gearbox fitted 3 years ago but now needing revs in fwd to get gear to grip. Cable ok and have adjusted bias to fwd to try and improve matters by adjusting cable at helm.This has not worked. This problem has been getting worse over a period but oil was clean at lift out this August.(Drive once engaged is fine I just need it fixed for tight manouvering and to ensure logevity of drive) Wanted to do sliding sleeve myself but assume you should replace surfaces it engages on too? Is this one of those jobs too problematical to be worth doing and therefore better to exchange the top unit again?
I would like to speak to somebody who has done this before!
