With apologies as I've already tried the wanted forum, but surely someone has got a copy of the Volvo 2040 workshop manual that I can borrow or copy?

John, I have one for the Perkins engine on which the VP engines are based, my engine is the Perkins M20(equivalent to the VP2020. Not sure if it covers the larger engine, but can look tonight. It does say on the front which engine range it covers so you would need to know the Perkins base engine no - probably on the perkins nameplate on the engine somewhere. If suitable, I would be happy for you to photocopy it.

My 2040 has Perkins cast into the main crankcase, and the owners manual that comes with it covers the 2020,2030 & 2040 engines, so I assume that your workshop manual will cover it. I wll gladly refund postage - have pm'd you
