i had a valve job done on my MD 2010 last year after water ingress had damaged the valves ,fitted all new and engine ran fine for 3 months . just started it ready for launching and found it hard to start after removing injectors i found water was coming out of both cylinders ! i have now stripped off head and found rusty valves again . where is this water coming from ? ?it is cooling/fresh water as there are white deposits on tops of pistons indicating coolant /glycol have looked closely for any cracks , is the head most likely source of leaks? please help cant go sailing !¬!"!

Was it laid up correctly - is it possible that it was flushed through with over-enthusiastic use of a hosepipe via the through-hull?

Sounds like you repaired the damage before identifying the cause of the original problem. Do you have an anti-syphon valve? If yes are you sure its not corroded shut?

gosh this sounds bad.

could the water be coming from the heat exchanger. the raw sea water is passed through this, while the coolant is fed roudn the engine block, there is no connection for sea water to
get into the engine block, except thought this rout.

i have a md2010 on my boat, and had to change the wet end last month, because that was leaking water.
