I think there should be an internal anode in the saltwater side of the cooling. Does anyone know where it is?

Also I have a Paguro generator with a saltwater cooled Ferryman deisel, I cannot find any refernence to an anode in the manual - does it have one?

My Manual showed that, but what is the point of an anode in the fresh water side, which is proteced by antifreeze? I was looking for something in the saltwater side!

If your engine is FW cooled, it will not have one in the SW side, as the heat exchanger takes the SW away from the engine, and the engine is then FW cooled.

It is probably like mine, and does not have an anode, as the hot water take-off for the calorifier comes off the place where the anode was - before the calorifier was fitted.

If you go to the Motoren site you can download the manuals and see where I mean.

If you go to Blue Moment and download the workshop manual for the 2002, it is item number 23 on page 27 - mentioned at the bottom of the page.
