Volvo 2003 G\'box & Folding Prop

The Volvo installed in my Moody is of the shaft drive variety fitted with gearbox and standard stern gland/ stuffing box.
I am thicking of fitting a folding or feathering prop., and the prop suppliers require the gearbox ratio. Where abouts would this be given? Can it be obtained from the serial no. or is it written in code on the box somewhere?

Also has anyone had experiance with the Bruntons Autoprop, compared to a Gori Folder or similar? Also I do not want to reduce my thrust in reverse as I seem to have a fair amount of prop-walk with the standard fixed 2 blade prop.

Any comments would be appreciated

Cant help with the gearbox ratio though I think its 2:1, but also try http://www.moodyowners.org.uk/ (click on infoexchange).

If you fit a two blade you will get less reverse thrust, but it will still be acceptable and the drag is considerably reduced - I reckon its worth half a knot in forward.

I've sailed a M31 with an autoprop and it gave huge thrust in reverse, at a price.

the gearbox ratio is samped on the number plate on the top of the box along with gearbox spec number (six figures beginning with 8) and will be
either 2:34 or 3:00-1

yes, first set of numbers on the number plate. sorry, correct reduction will be 2.38 or 3.02.
Won't comment on the autoprop, being the dutch dealer....
