Volvo 2002 sea water pump seals

Hi anybody know where i can get just the rubber seal that sits in the back of the seawater pump impeller housing, Volvo do the full service kit including the shaft at great expense . Im sure someone out there must have located aftermarket seals.

Parts 9 and 15 are for the seals you're looking for, £12 or so per seal. You need two seals for the pump, one for the oil, one for raw water. No need to buy the complete shaft refurbishment set.

Your local engineers-bearing retailers can help, make sure the gaiter spring is stainless at least on the sea water side, if not replace the spring with an o ring of relevant size.

I did this job (on a 2003) this winter. When I removed the old seal, I found that the spring was a mess of rusty bits. And the boat came with receipts, one of which was for the seals; purchased from a Volvo agent! When I got the shaft and seals out and looked at the shaft, there was wear on the shaft at the position of the seal. so I bought a shaft kit from Volspec. It comes with only one seal, so I got the other from ASAP at a fraction of the price.

All you need are the dimensions:- Outside diameter, shaft diameter and seal thickness. From memory (ie don't trust them) they are 30,12,03 millimetres.
