Hi All

I have a small oil leak. A little bit of oil is coming from the oil seal around the starting handle shaft (think it might be the end of the cam shaft).

Question is... Do I have to replace the shaft seal from the outside, or do I have to remove the timming case and fit it from the inside?

I think it's item 6 on here...

Thanks

I think you can be confident that the diagram shows it as it is ... fitted from the outside.

Whether or not you can extract the old seal may be the difficulty. If you can get the old one out you can put a new one in but make sure it goes in square.

It does not look the type you can screw a couple of self tappers into in order to pull it out but perhaps it is

Useful info in the W/S manual at http://www.bluemoment.com/downloads.html

Paragraph 7B in the assembly instructions refers!
