A club member today was having issues with his Volvo 2002 and I popped onboard to have a look but couldn't suss it.

Fuel filter changed, last run in November to run antifreeze through the system with no issues.

Fuel filter full and blead, fuel down to first injector pump banjo, fuel coming out out the second injector pump banjo (tank return) but no fuel from the pumps to the injectors. stop cable working as in moving the lever.

One pump I could suspect failing but both?

Have these engine got any nack to bleeding or issues people know about?

Thanks in advance.

There can be circumstances with the older engines that I have experienced once or twice on my MD2B where exactly that happened. What can happen if the injector pump gets full of air is that it sometimes cannot lift the delivery valve. If this happens I just slacken off the delivery valve body no more than a turn and the air frees up the threads and when the engine is turned over just tighten it up again. You do have to slacken the fuel pipe connection.
