Volvo 2002 engine anode

The anode is completely fused in the engine block and no amount of spannering (with extensions) has been able to move it in the slightest.

Any ideas ? - and what are the potential consequences if it cannot be changed?

Flush with Rydlyme might free it.

I had the same issue on a 2003 Impossible to shift, so I didn't. The engine was still going strong 15 years later when I sold the boat.

I replaced mine last summer after how long the last one was in the engine nobody knows. I removed a clay like mass.
