Have small leak from water pump at small hole on pump casing. Suspect the seals need replaced: is this a simple job and can anyone provide a copy of the relevant pages from the manual.
Thanks
Not too up to date on the more recent Volvo engines but the water pumps are normally Jabsco look alikes. The only thing to watch is that (a) you fit the seals the correct way round and (b) you ensure that they are fitted in the correct place with a space between the inner and outer seals. If you don't the seals will eventually fail and you will pump raw seawater direct into your engine.
The bl**#y Volvo handbook does not mention this and the previous owner of my boat was not aware of thisfact, result, one month after taking over the boat I had a sump full of seawater .
