Volvo 2001 injector removal, Help!

I want to have my injector serviced, but having trouble removing it. Can it be done without a special tool? What is the risk of sleeve coming and is it a major problem if it does? The DIY manual is quite vague.

Have tried going to the VP Owners Clb? - <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www/volpen.org.uk>http://www/volpen.org.uk</A> - they should be able to answer your query - from memory you do need a special 'tool' to do it.

best done with correct tool

drain water off first !!!!!!!!

you can do it without correct tool but this increases the chance of dislodging the sleeve which also requires special tools to replace
