The hollow bungs that allow the raw water pipes and sockets to seal on my 2002 are looking a bit tired and, in one case, distorted. I've had several goes at trying to track then down to get spares. Even ASAP were at a loss.
Does anyone know the correct name for them or even help me out with a link?
Many thanks

Look in marinepartseurope.com
You will find them in cooling system water pump

Do you mean the 'Sealing Ring' that is fitted on the pipes entering the two water inlets on the exhaust elbow and at the outlet of the flute?
Item 9 bottom left of drawing and item 15. They are inverted U section flat o-rings that fit both sides of the flange on the pipes. The VP part number is 418445. I thought ASAP sold them singly but I have bought a gasket 'set' from Keypart as I was buying other stuff at the same time.

If you find another source please publish it - I wouldn't mind holding a few spares.

ASAP and Keypart supply common service parts but for these you will probably have to go to your nearest VP agent or order from someone like Marine Parts Europe or Volspec who should be able to supply the full range of parts

You will find all the parts lists and diagrams on their websites which will enable you to identify exactly what you need.

If you want replacements which actually seal properly, you need to get them from a Volvo Penta dealer. The VP name for these is "sealing ring". Contrary to RIBW's post, there are various part numbers for these, depending on exactly where on the engine they fit. You must use the correct parts otherwise they won't seal properly. If you look at the diagrams on a VP dealer's online shop (Volspec for example) you can find part numbers and prices easily.

I know from bitter experience that if you disturb the plumbing, you need to fit new seals when you re-assemble.

Please advise where you see different part numbers for items 9 and 15.

#9 and #15 are the same part numbers. #16 at the other end of the pipe to #15 is different Your link gives the part numbers.

There is yet another part number for the seals connecting the water pump although the inlet connection to the engine uses the same part as #15. All are shown on the relevant parts diagram and list

Although nominally the same I find the parts diagrams and lists on Marine parts Europe easier to use than those on Volspec's website

In the diagram you've linked to, item 15 is part number 418445, but the sealing ring at the opposite end of the pipe (item 16) is part number 418411. As I said, there are different sealing rings, depending on where they fit on the engine. You can't use the same part number everywhere.

Which is why I didn't include #16! The OP refers to "bungs" i.e. plural. All other sealing rings other than the ones I referred to on the diagram are singular.
The OP was asked a question, given a verbal description of the referenced seals to help distinguish between the various possible items (which is far from clear in the diagram) and a diagram which gave him the opportunity to reply specifically such as "No. I mean #X". The OP's reply would then allow specific help to be given.

Maybe my point was lost in translation. As I've posted earlier, if you disturb any VP plumbing, you need to re-fit with new sealing rings. So if the OP were to replace item 15 in your diagram, he'd also have to replace item 16 - different sealing rings, different part numbers.

Thanks for all the suggestions. My original googling took me to the sites mentioned but varied searches brought response "no results found" - certainly not easy for me, at any rate. Bob's pic got me to the right zone and also to the price: £6.00 for a bit of rubber! That's Volvo for you, I suppose.
