Having just laid up the boat it's time to replace the saildrive anode.

Volvo Penta are charging around £25 + post, as are Keyparts who I normally use.

I have just bought a new anode for my 120S saildrive from these guys:

www.zincsmart.com +44(0)1227 472822

They are charging ... £10.01 including VAT. So I have just bought 3 anodes for around what I would pay Volvo for one. They are being dispatched today with carriage at cost (around £6 for all three). Very friendly service and I'm advised that the anodes are manufactured in Vancouver and the plant also supplies Volvo Penta in Canada with the same anodes.

No commercial link to the supplier - just a very satisfied customer.

Hope this may help others.

Last year I bought a budget anode for the same purpose, it was about £5 cheaper than the MG Duff/Volvo product, and around £8 lighter in zinc!

I believe they now supply anchors as well.
