Thanks to all who pm'd with offers. This is still ongoing BUT, I have just seen on the RYA site that one examiner will test up to FOUR candidates in one 2 day session. If me and my buddy could get two more candidates who want the prep and the exam we could not only reduce our personal cost but also sort the crew problem.
Dates are likely to be prep w/c Monday Nov 29th, exam Dec 4th & 5th. Boat is Najad 390 in C & N Gosport.
Excluding provs & diesel, cost should be in the region of £250 per head. Can't be bad. Any takers?

Excellent idea .I would sign up if I had not allready qualified.

Do you intend to employ an instructor for the prep or learn off each other.

I think if you have a considerable mix of experience between yourselves I think you can learn from each other.

The best advise I had was show the examiner that as well as being competent you are also nice people.ie dont let exam nerves cause friction to creep in.

I did my exam with 3 other really great guys .The stress of the exam did wind us up a bit but we still pulled together as a team and pulled it off.

You need to know col regs inside out so start NOW .

Good Luck
