Volare!

Wow, very nice video for a great boat indeed, congrats for an amazing job!
I still think it would have been nice to keep the original BPMs on V-drive, but I understand that the Mercs were a more sensible choice.
Nice soundtrack too, btw! :)

Just a couple of Qs:

1) she has only straight transom exhausts, with no "Y" connections allowing to choose the prop hub route, as far as I can see.
That must give her a bad boy sound, I reckon! Or am I mistaken?

2) the dashboard layout is really weird.
Any technical reason for that, or was the original layout similar?
Anyhow, I would definitely give it another thought...

That's about a year's full time work you're looking at. The exhausts are straight through ... I may fit some silencers! I didn't have much to go on as far as the dash layout goes, just limited space to work in. There's some logic to it, although I ought to fit some port / starboard labels to avoid confusion. I set up the port and starboard engines so they are completely independent with their own fuel tanks and electrics ... so if one side goes down, we can still get back home!

I love that song, the original, from Domenico Modugno ... although the Dean Martin version is better known.

Here's a little video I've just put together of a project that's still on the go. I hope you enjoy it and that it gives inspiration to anyone up for a challenge!

'Volare'
That tune/song means so much to me and brought back lots of memories
The vessel looks great and what a great Y Tube /Video
Magnifico!:)

I'll second the congrats on the video - neat juxtapositioning of the before and after shots.

I agree with Mapism about the instrument panel; I think it makes sense to have the dials in an analog (replica) formation to ensure no-one misinterprets the data. L to R doesn't work for me.

But overall a work of art and it looks as if you are enjoying the results already.
