OK, so having settled on probably spending one or two nights in South Dock and a day at Greenwich in between the next question is ...

Given that it's nearly 19 hours at 4 knots (our average-ish speed) from Fambridge to South Dock, where would peeps suggest breaking the trip into two legs?

Doesn't have to be a marina, happy to anchor overnight *but* with the proviso that its got to be sheltered and not subject to too much bouncing around due to wind/wave action or the wash from passing vessels (Brigantia, being small and light, is horribly uncomfortable at anchor or even on a pontoon if the wet stuff is jumping around). Oh and we can dry out on firm level ground or in *soft* mud (twin keels, 0.86m draft)

You don't want to deviateing from your shortest route so I would pick up a mooring at Gravesend (courtesy of the G. Y.C.) or any of the other moorings further up the river, Purfleet, Erith etc.

Stayed a night on a PLA buoy, right next to the GYC ones. Loads of wash from the passing tugs, and ships going to Tilbury.

I'd take Queenbrough in preference any day.

Alternatively, although not tried it myself you could stop over at Thurrock Yacht Club, which is upstream of Tilbury.

Once again, mucho gracias all

The Medway options look good especially as we don't have to make the fastest possible passage from A to B - it is a holiday after all! :)

Cheers
