Any suggestions on a good place where we can get alongside to pick up a visiting crew member who isn't physically up to a shore to ship transfer by tender

Need to pick him up Saturday lunchtime and drop him back off on Sunday and he'll need to park his car there overnight.

To complicate matters he'll be collecting an urgently needed replacement prop from Seamark Nunn on the way to us and we're currently in Lowestoft but definitely heading South in the morning, probably to Orford haven tomorrow

Levington is the obvious answer I realise but not sure how'd they feel about us nipping in and clearing off again and leaving a car parked there overnight!

Shotley, pick up from outside pontoon, leave car in CP outside shipwreck.

Can't imagine a marina noticing an extra car in their car park for one night. Buying £30 of diesel solves the access problems and the conscience.

Woolverstone? Normally you can come alongside the outside pontoons without any problems and planty of room to leave a car;)
Maybe too far out of your way though!

Thanks for the suggestions folks. Looks like the "solution" is that we'll be spending the next few days in Southwold until the weather moderates a bit (which it should do after the weekend) - there's only so much excitement a body can stand and Rik has pulled a muscle or something which needs a couple of days rest.
