I have tried, honest!

The pricing seems complex, lifetime membership £25, charts £29, Android £7 or £14, dongles, dvds, dloads, two devices, four devices, unlimited devices, charts only, buy the plotter sware from a third party.... and a free offer too.
Can anyone tell me if you get only chartlets for "life" not a nav system? I'd like to replace my mmap which runs on ltop and android tablet.

I've tried registering but not had the 12 digit code yet-

Who's cracked it and can bullet point features/price?

Nick

The £29 gets you a full set of UK Charts-mine were RNCs admiralty derived on a DVD and working on Seaclear .

He does post here from time to time. Sure he'll show up in this thread eventually to clear up what's what.

I agree that their site is not good at making clear exactly what is on offer and what each option costs. They could do with a summary page listing each thing you can buy on a separate line, with a price and a link to the page with the full wordy blurb.

Thanks Pete

Their web site is confusing about what they are actually offereing. I would like something that I can load into my current mapping software, Garmin Basecamp, and us it for planning and loading waypoints on to the handheld GPS; I enjoy navigating using paper and pencil while at sea. Having somebody clarifing that point might get them a sale.

Hi All,

Steve from VMH here to try and un-confuse. Try having a look at this page:

We don't have many services and products.

Membership (life) is £25. It is mainly useful for those who trailer sail, kayak, or who want to do A4 screengrabs of charts. There are Google Earth compatible charts in there, which can be used to get waypoints in KML format. If you can convert KML to GPX, you can load into handhelds, etc. UK and many foreign charts in members area. All updated on an ongoing basis.

Charts for SeaClear bundles official raster charts with the free SeaClear software, to give you a good reliable Windows based chartplotter, that is AIS compatible. £29.50 for all UK & Ireland on DVD,more on USB dongle. The same chartset is also compatible with "Marine Navigator" a really good Android app. Buyers can get Windows use on multiple machines, and a few Android activations too, all in.

For those who like OpenCPN we have compatible chartsets on USB dongle too.

Best bet, is if unsure at all phone up for a chat, 10-6 weekdays, 10-1 Sat. 01983 567866.

For the last poster, nothing we do is compatible with Garmin Basecamp.

All the best, and a good Christmas to all you forumites,

Steve
