Hi all,

Just a quick note to alert you to possible visibility problems in the Chanel on Saturday. That weak front lying west to east could produce moderate viosibility at any time through Saturday.

Sunday looks beter,

Hope that is useful,

Simon

Yup - it doesn't look like its going to be a good sailing day anywhere in the channel. My club is supposed to be running a race from Eastbourne to CS1 and back again on Saturday. Can't see any chance of anyone but the fastest boats finishing, especially with the foul tide they'll be picking up. We shall not be attempting that one.

Jeff.

Should be okay in the east on saturday, apart from a few showers and feeling chilly. Mainly NNW F2-F3.

Watch out in the east on Sunday afternoon as there are hints of an area of rain and drizzle returning north through east Anglia and that could reduce vis around the coast.

Regards,
Simon

Well to the east

Have a week's leave coming up, heading Stellendam to Blankenberge tomorrow, see how it looks after Sunday. Fog not good fun crossing the Westerschelde mouth, even with radar.

Any tips for the Clyde on saturday?

Racing from Rothesay to Tarbert and already looks as if there wont be a breath of wind... tell me I'll get there!

Lack of Wind on the Clyde

Simon

Confirmed what's happening outside - wind has died.

Going to be a long day tomorrow. Thanks for the info.

There are forumites going x-channel en-masse to Cherbourg first two weekends of October. When you see forecastable weather for those weekends, an update would be appreciated
