It was so cold that Jimi - hung like a icicle - on deck. Chris was busy (mount Gay (don't ask)) as I rounded the (well the Virtual Bavaria appeared to be under-ruddered) the needles heading for the West. Nope there was no one in the Solent next week, and shy talk would be on his own!
Further Up country, Lake sailor was trying for a distance record and was last seen at sunset pushing North at a staggering 6 knots (strangely he was in a white van).
Spookily, the wind was from the East as I headed into the mist. ZZZs could be heard from below as SWMBO prepared for her watch (it's a Seiko). All was well with the world.
Wait a moment, didn't we forget something, How was the Winterval Patriarch going to get down the chimney. I wasn't going to turn the Espacher off for anyone, and I fear that Christmas may end very soon for everyone. Tim from Mersea wont have to worry about any Telegraph 'political correct' damn Labour parties again.
