Vinyl or Paint?

Tigger has a vinyl stripe just above the water-line. It will need replacing (again) as it is looking pretty tatty; it has come off in parts).

The alternative would be to paint the boot-top.

I have just replaced a vinyl strip, by sticking over the top of the existing working on the sassumption that although it is in your line of site when out of the water it isn't when afloat so perfection isn't needed. Besides that muck does not seem to stick to the vinyl like it does to the hull.
