Apologies for not taking some how to photos but I have been taking Diadem's interior apart to replace rotten sections, change a few things around and fit a new floor. I'm also making it useable and clean for a year or two before I rip it all out and replace the interior.
The interior is all dark plywood, there isn't much natural light coming in due to the very small windows and small Perspex sliding hatch. The interior has been looking very tired for quite a few years and has been bugging me. I don't want to replace the interior yet due to not having the time.
I like the look of the beech that new yachts have and so decided to use that Idea to update the interior from it's dark looks to a brighter interior. I started off dismantling the stairs and the engine box. Unfortunately a lot of the wood around that area is rotten from years of water ingress but I think the interior will do it's job for a few years to come before it falls apart!
Anyway, here are some photos of the vinyl wrap that I've started on the interior and new flooring. I'm happy with my results for the first time!
