Whilst we're slowly removing the decktread (blooming awful job!) and replacing it with non-slip deck paint, there's a section that runs between the bow-roller and windlass that actually does some good in stopping the chain from wearing a groove in the deck; sadly that's about worn through.
All I'm looking to lay is a strip about 6" x 24" and the question is: Rather than pay a fortune for decktread and even more for the adhesive, would an off-cut of vinyl flooring from the local carpet/flooring shop, stuck down with whatever adhesive they use for kitchens/bathrooms stay stuck down to a fibreglass deck?
