Already having stuck some insulating foam to the cabin roof, I sourced some vinyl headlining in a 'Black Friday' deal, and now I'm trying to plan the rest of the project.

I'll stick the vinyl to the foam, and then I will need 2 different kinds if trim to tidy the job up:

1) To cover the edges where 2 pieces meet

2) A quadrant or 90 piece to cover where the headling meets the bulkhead

Much Googling has revealed very little, any ideas that could point me in the right direction?

I tried this once........ It was not a satisfactory method ....... I found using foam backed vinyl a better way,

Avoid butting edges wherever possible. Where unavoidable using foam back vinyl I turned the edges over to make a "hem" as outlined in Nigel Luther's thread, and butted them together carefully.

Varnished hardwood trim ( about 1.5 to 2 " wide ) screwed to the bulk head makes a neat finish between the headlining and a bulkhead but vinyl covered strips of ply work well too
.

At the edge of vinyl always wrap over. To do this, cut about 1cm oversize. Scrape 2cm of the foam away and fold the vinyl over and glue vinyl to vinyl so it ends up the right size and with a neat folded edge and not a raw cut edge. You can butt this neatly to a bulkhead or overlap. I don't have a photo of this - I'll get one next visit.

To cover a join I used a strip of teak, rounded each side and varnished - see photo.

Many thanks for all the helpful comments, it'll take some time to digest them all and plan a way forward. I'll post a pic once done.
