Hi.
I have tried all the boaty type cleaners non did a good job. But found a cleaner that works a treat, It was a spray garden furnature cleaner from B&Q comes in a green bottle, half the price of boat cleaners to boot.

Anybody used "Truck wash" great for lorry side curtains and engine/bilge cleaning can be purchased in five litre containers from most car accessory shops. I use it on the hull of my boat when its particularily grubby, you virtually spray on and watch the grease and grime slide off, rinse and polish.

Acetone?!

Whoa there Moose, maybe alright in the animal kingdom, but be very careful on vinyl, could easily make it tacky or even melt it.

However if you do try it and it does melt I know a very good source of moose leather, very cheap and huge burgers as an extra!!

Re: Acetone?!

Works perfectly, has done for a year with no bad effects and leaves my cushions gleaming white after just one swipe.

Re: Acetone? chemical dept

acetone soes indeed remove some marks. BUT it can leave others. It seems to depend on the exact type of mat'l. I d try diluted tincture of hlb's boat remover first.

You've not been spraying this magic elixir on poor old Harry have you? Does that mean he's now an albino ass?

Re:Formula one

You might want to give Vanish soap a try.
The stuff that comes in a solid bar like real soap.

Worked wonders on my gruby vinal seats in my old Spitfire (car not plane!)

BTW, it can also be used as soap in salt water.

I use baby wipes. Keep a pack in the cockpit and do the seats everytime I leave the boat.
