Undertaking a re-fit of 1980 Pedro 33 - new upper helm instrumentation completed - aft cabin re-fitted - generator fitted - late launching for this season and continuing re-fit when season ends.

Has anyone experience using or installing any of the Vimar range of switches or electrical outlets? IMP Products (www.impproducts.co.uk) are dealers. I have already ordered some samples of CBE switches, mounts and frames and wasn't impressed by the quality.

I realise that these type of switch units come at a premium but I am really looking for a system that offered modularity - so that a light swich and 3-pin 230V socket and 12V socket can all be mounted in the same frame, for example.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I LOVE Vimar kit!
MiToS is the third installation (after two houses) and I'm again using IDEA stuff.

Check this:

yes you can mix and match, I'm putting 24V 2 pin, together with USB 5V for charging stuff, plus (being EU and not UK, 220V 2 pin sockets for inverter and proper 220V shucko for shorepower/genny work.

All in 6U.

Having fooled around with various kit, I'd say they are top of the range, so your comment on not happy with quality is a bid odd!
What type are you getting?

Also there are IP55 or what for ext installation (will be using one on the f/b)

if I could be of any help, let me know!

cheers

V.

Thanks for the thumbs-up Virtuvas!

The reference to quality was to CBE products (www.cbe.it) which I ordered to trial.

Are you ordering the Vimar products locally in Greece? How much is is 6U costing you on average - cover plate, mounting plate and modules?
