I have two problems with a tmd41b & asssistance would be much appreciated. [I have tried volpen]
First problem is a coolant leak from the joint of the steel pipe connecting the transom assembly [reverse gear drive unit] situated @ the front end of the engine above the auxiliary drive belts. As the two items being joined are both steel I fear that this may be welded, but hope not! Could anyone advise how this joint is made?
The second problem is a leak in the fuel supply @ the pump: source is either the pump or the [swaged?] connector @ the pump end of the feed pipe. Can the pump be disassembled & are there any gaskets in it & is it possible to repair/replace the connection @ the end of the feed pipe?
Incidentally, I believe that these components are common to the tmd31.
Hopeful thanks & seasonal greetings,
John G
