Despite the poor odds Viking Anchors are expecting to make available a new batch of anchors in about 2 weeks time. I understand the new batch will include both the original roll barred Viking and the new kid on the block, Odin. I know the previous batch of anchors sold out quickly - if you are interested let Viking know and get on the delivery list. Any product made in Ukraine needs all the help and support it can get.
The plan to have a second production base, Australia was mentioned, is still being progressed but has no confirmed dates, yet. Australia may seem a high cost production base - but the steel quality is made just south of Sydney (Bisalloy) and not many steel makers produce the desired product. Not many fabricators have the kit to process such a HT product (allowing the anchor to be so light, as a Fortress, and lighter than the aluminium. Spade and Excel - and still be strong)
