Video where is it...

Thread drift ..... can you give some details about your solar panels set up, please?

2 Spectraflex 32 Watt flexible amorphous panels into a dual channel charge controller charging 2 75 Ah batteries. No separate engine start battery as the engine is an outboard. Although it's electric start it is also easy to hand start so no dedicated start battery is needed. Engine produces maximum of 10A. Each solar panel 1.8A when aligned in bright sun. Amorphous are less efficient in unshaded bright sun compared to crystalline but better on grey days, & way better when partly shaded. Because I sail in northern latitudes with more grey days amorphous are more suitable. The Spectraflex panels are not cheap unfortunately.

Thanks for that: very useful.

I suspect we passed each other in Loch Fyne the other day. You were running down the Loch towards Skipness. Possibly Monday?

Tacking up from Skipness towards Portavadie. You were running goosewinged and we crossed you on port (sorry, but at least a cable apart) in a Moody 346
