Paul

Congratulations - she looks FAB. :)

I hope she fulfills all your hopes and dreams ( and is better built and more reliable than another boat that shall remain nameless........ ).

ps - you were right about the sunshine!

You now need to update your "bio"

I do not have a boat you can call a boat

does not apply any more!

She does indeed look superb..... I think I am going to have to visit LIBS to buy a new helmsmans seat! Good luck, fair winds and a long life.........

Thanks

Thanks for your wishes - I am sure we will be happy with her.

"and is better built and more reliable than another boat that shall remain nameless........"

In actual fact that story still has a final round to come fairly soon :-)

Well done, congratulations. Enjoy.. Tcm is yer man on racking up the miles and provisioning with enough limes and ice.

Paul have a fantastic time and sail into Knysna when you are down that way

Hamba na usomandla

Excellent stuff Gludy, I hope you enjoy her and she proves to be everything you wanted. She looks well built and I'm sure she'll do you proud. Fascinating watching the transport by road from the yard to the dock, I wonder how many H & S regulations she flouted and how many police tickets she would have attracted if that road trip had been tried in the UK. Lovely to watch. Have fun. What are your cruising plans for her?

Cheers, Brian.

Thanks everyone.
Many H&S rules were broken, too many to count but nobody was hurt and nothing damaged - so it was a cheaper way to transport!
Many folks appeared from their houses to video and photograph her throughout the journey.

Cruising plans - we leave end of Jan to Cape Town then about Mid February to St Helena - Brazil - Grenada.

We get used to the boat and come Hurricane season drop down to Trinidad or Columbia.

Then we do all the Windward Islands - then through the canal with the aim of reaching Micronesia...... the main plan involves a no time limit being able to change plans.

I thought that was great!

I love the touch on the tractor... "For Hire"

You guys look real happy, great to see... and the boat looks fabulous!

I didnt see any wind/solar charging.. unless I missed something....

I loved those steps on the front, excellent idea, roll up to the beach.. lower the ramp... lay out the hamper and chanpagne!

Have a great time!

What a lovely boat. I especially like the protected helming position which I have only seen on one other cat, the Antares 44i.

I wish you many years of fair sailing on her.

Bon vent.

John

The boat is beautiful and the plans sound ideal!

All the best to you both! :)
