I think that Charley Stock is a dear old fella, but whoever made those vids must be assuming that people have the attention span of a gold fish! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I shall checkout those video's tonight when I have got a bit more time but to anybody that is really interested in sailing & particularly to those of you from the East Coast I recommend books by H.Alker.Tripp......they really are quite wonderful.
(He was a Metropolitan Police Commissioner between about 1920 & 46 I believe).

That'll be arresting reading then? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I remember reading about him in YM in the 80's. IIRC, his boat is a Fairey dinghy; he made the cabin out of an old bank counter, and a snooker table. No engine at all either. Bliss

Yes you can get them out the Library for a request costing £1.50p. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
(the best £1.50p you probably will have ever spent).

I am glad I was'nt put off by the Charles Stock ones you promoted originally.Your own ones look truly wonderful & I shall be following your adventures avidly, you lucky so & so I am really envious.

You are too modest. I have just watched your first video and I was bowled over by it. It was delightful, beautiful and fascinating; and at the same time open and honest. You could not make a better ad to sell the joys of sailing a small boat up every fascinating creek.

Thank you, you have a talent with a video camera and a way with words to complement it. I look forward to watching the rest. Good luck with your extended cruise!
