Hi Guys

Does anyone have one of these PMW's and know what the red light means? If i press the on off button the light goes on or off, but I don't know if the red light means its on or off. Victron have not been able to help and just said to buy a new one.

PS: This is the 20A version but has the same LED symbols .... hope it is helpful.

Logically speaking, it is unlikely that the Red LED would be ON when the charger is OFF - especially when the LED is operated by a button.

In the manual, a reset can be achieved by cycling the ON/OFF button, and the last instruction in the installation section is to press the button - presumably to turn it on. .... so I think it is a power button. with the LED indicating operation Lit = On ... Unlit = Off.

You could always measure the output with a meter in both states when the sun is shining.

Yes I changed the post Obviously you saw, and quoted, the original link. You're too quick for us old guys.

https://www.victronenergy.com/uploa...-PWM-Light-12-24V-Charge-Controller-EN-A4.pdf is thr right one ... I think.

That manual talks about a 7 segment display to program the load output, looks like the OP has no 7 segment display.

• Easy to set up thanks to two digit seven segment display

The load LED on the OPs photo has the LED meaning and sequencing written below it, and the load LED was not illuminated in the pic, (no load is connected).

I assumed the OP was refering to the red LED in the top right of the picture, which is on.

This, according to the manual for the 20A version, goes on and off with the button below it, the button with the on/off power symbol next to it.

Did a bit more digging and found the manual for the 5A and 10A version of the controller .... has the same info as the 20A version.
