Enjoyed a run down the Straits from Conwy to Abermenai last evening to meet up with Ding Dong a yachtie forumite who had been anchored there for the day. We spotted the unmistakable silhoutte of Little Ship and managed to say hello to Tom who was battling with his anchor in the unusually breezey conditions there at the time.
We got locked in at Victoria Dock for the night. We and lots of other visiting vessels were accomodated very efficiently by the staff and made to feel very welcome in the tight marina.
Enjoyed a lovelly meal from the new Chinese restaurant on the Quay and had a great night out in the town, got this picture of the setting sun on another great boating day in North Wales

The boats just been in the water for a month now and we have run 20 hours, we are getting spoiled but making the most of it.

Had a great run back this morning just after dawn back through the glassy misty Straits. We were nearly caught out by a 3ft standing wave just under Britannia Bridge mid channel just off Cribben Rock created by a large motor boat ahead of us, never seen anything like it!

We must be going round in opposite circles, mind we don't do "early dawn", well especially with this cold I keep getting.

Just sauntered up to Conwy last night and sat on a pontoon, admiring the view. Been here a couple of weeks now. Back home tomorrow.

Must be.
Not sure I will be doing early morning again until it gets warmer, it was really really cold this morning the boat was soaking wet with dew and of course it is open. We wanted to make sure that we got into Conwy before the gate closed this morning.
