We're looking for a new boat. Something a bit bigger than the corribee that we own at the moment to accomodate the one, soon to be two, children. And having moved up to Scotland to explore the west coast, we want something fairly seaworthy.

We're off at the weekend to look at a 1970 Victoire 25. She looks pretty, but there seems to be very little on the web (in English at least) about these Dutch boats. Can anyone let me know how they sail, any particular problems with the design etc etc?

Cheers
Patrick

D Koopman design built by Jachtwerf Victoria during the sixties. Looks a bit like an Albin Vega. Reasonably typical cruiser/racer of the times. Interior small by today's standards but five usable berths. Performance will not be up to current standards in terms of speed, but she shouild be seakindly, stable and safe for family cruising. Construction will have been sturdy but unsophisticated. May be problems with osmosis, hull deck joint and windows.
