No direct experience of that model, but if it has the features you are looking for, you are unlikely to make a mistake with SH.

I need to get a new set after my Simrad RD68 failed for the last time. This one looks very well priced.Does anyone has experience of this model?I have heard only good things of the Standard Horizon radios.

Good value, but if you go for the next model up the range (I think) you get the benefit of a rotary channel selector. Doesn't sound like much but IMO they are much easier to use than the up and down button arrangement found on basic sets.

N.B. check that it has the UK only channels (M1/37,M2,80) programmed in.My SH 1100 bought from cactus this spring did not.You will otherwise find it very frustrating since these channels are commonly used by Yacht Clubs/water taxis/marinas etc.

That's a little surprising. I bought a Standard Horizon radio from them also this spring, and it had M and M2 in it just as I would expect.

Good advice for the OP to check, it seems.
