Anchored near Pagesham this morning and just heard Guernsey Coastguard on VHF.
This must be the furthest station I've picked up.
Also Solent coming in very strong signal.
Presumably unusual conditions?

Or the new all singing all dancing all fantastic centralised CG service sitting in an office in the middle of somewhere where teh operators don't know the difference between the Street and the Looe

Guernsey is impressive. I remember being near Boulogne and hearing both Jersey and Great Yarmouth, and thought that was good.

Would Guernsey be part of that system though? They were talking about the Covid 19 regulations for visiting the Bailey wick.

I overnighted in the Orwell and had to wait till about 11am to see anything.

Got Solent, Ostend and lots of foreign chatter on 65, + various non English . Must be the mist ?

65 is Traffic Centre Wandelaar, which is in Zeebrugge, and Wandelaar Pilot, which operates 10 NM off Oostende. When coming out of the Westerschelde last Saturday morning, I got very clear reception of Sunk VTS on 14, the channel of Vlissingen VTS. Later, when on 16, I heard Dover Coastguard and Humber Coastguard and once or twice Solent Coastguard, which I put down to someone in the central radio room being confused.
