VHF Problem

Hi, I have a Seavoice 550 vhf and when I select either channel 6 or 8 the number continually flashes and I'm not able to transmit or receive, it works fine on all channels above 10 ?? has any one a solution to this or even better has anyone a manual for this model that I could borrow to photostat, I would of course cover all costs. Thanks

The unit may not be getting enough power - check all 12V connections and cabling.

Had a similar problem and it turned out to be a power supply problem (corroded connector caused increased resistance, and when trying to transmit the voltage drop was too great causing the unit to latch on and off).

Agree with using the 0 button first. Works on my old Seafarer Sea Voice.
