Our Star Z98 handheld has suddenly switched to the boat to marina channel 80 rather than the other way round, which is interesting but useless.

Is there anything I can do to put it right or is it a case of getting a new one?

Are you sure you have not accidentally switched the set to the American channel set where channel 80, and a number of others, are single frequency channels using what is the ship station frequency in the International channel set.

Didn't know this was an option! You have to press two adjacent keys to change the settings, it must have happened when it was laid down in the locker although I can't replicate it as the keys are recessed.

Don't feel bad about it. I lock the keys on my mobile phone before clipping it to my belt but it still does all sorts of wacky things...
