VHF murky dissmals

Handed my Xmas list to her nibbs last night. Prominent on the list was a handheld VHF. Her nibbs advises that pressies already bought and secreted away, and that a VHF radio is NOT one of them.

Then, I would lose control of the tiller;
Veer hard to port up onto a mudbank on an ebb tide;
A gang of local unlawfuls would decend upon the boat stripping her of everything;
They would throw me off the boat and into the tender;
I would float off on the shallow water just at the end of the ebb;

And I wouldn't have a handheld VHF with which to summons help!!

And all because I asked for a special Xmas present!!!!!!!!!

I want one too so I bought one and gave it to my missis along with the bill and told her to wrap it. Did the same with a new handheld GPS and Fixed DSC. I'm happy cos I get what I want and she's happy cos she doesn't have to worry about what to get me.......
