VHF/FM Aerial?

The coax from the VHF is connected to the Shroud plates below decks, the coax from the FM/MW radio disappears under the headlining then, I assume, goes to the aerial at top of mast.

Is this a satisfactory way of wiring the radios?

The masthead aerial would normally be the VHF, with the domestic radio just requiring a simpler receive only aerial. Sounds like yours might be muddled up.

I agree that would be a very common way to wire things. (VHF at top of mast, FM domestic radio tagged onto a shroud etc.) Is the OP sure he hasn't got the cables mixed up?
