Vetus genny-engine running, no red light and no electricity-help? ;)

I think this is something simple. We have a new 5Kw genny and basically it stopped producing electricity today. I think we'd just overloaded something as most things were on a the time.

The main trip switch on the control panel has been reset but no power still.

Any ideas/advice?

Normally there is a two or three way switch Gen- Off - Shore Power. First check that everything works with the selector in the Shore Power position? Now run the generator and check all the indicators on the genny panel look normal (read the user manual). Usually there will be a lamp that lights up when the generator is providing a good 230V output. Now change the switch to Gen and it should work.

We tried every combination on the switches. It's weird it was produced leccy fine. Then simply stopped whilst the engine carried on as normal.
