OH!! This is good....Now. Can you find me a boat that does 25 knots on about a gallon an hour. A load of friendly relatives, customers that pay the right price, whilst smiling. I'll think of a few more things whilst yer getting on with it!!
Something like this? May not have the capacity requirements you seek and it'll probably smoke a whole lot less than you're used to
Well What I really want to know is, how fast is an 18 ton barge. 10ft 6in beam 49 ft with each of the to aformentined engines. I cant test the thing on the canal cos it just emtpies the thing and sits on the bottom!! Dont faf about, I want the answer in knots. Oh and how it will deal with a current ( not rasenes) Err thames ( tidal I suppose)
In my expert opinion......not very fast, but you do see tubs such as that on the Thames. They tend to work the tides to their advantage. You do see one or two punching the tide now and then, but they get no where slowly.
Ones 50hp tuthers a masive 65hp it's got the 65hp in it according to the new found info. I thought there was a sum somewhere that you could do to come up with mph. I did say that you could do. I'm far worserer with sums than spelling!!.../forums/images/icons/laugh.gif
