Hi, I have a vetus 80 KGF thruster that has broken two drive (bottom) pins in a few weeks. I am wondering if the tailpiece gears are the problem or if it is just bad luck. If the gears were gone I would expect the top pin to go but this has not happened! Has anyone got any ideas? Thanks in advance. Hebe

Same here, and on same Vetus unit (80 kgf )The shear pin went today but there was no obstruction to prop. Removed the motor and felt the drive peg It feels gritty and occasional jams suggesting that a tooth from the bevel drive has shed and is running around loose. Anyone know if this can be re-built or if the bevel gears are available as parts? Same question really as Hebe.
