I could use stronger language.... Having put her ladyship in the water and parked her up at yachthaven for what I thought would be a couple of nights, & worked my little sox of for the past two days, to get her ready for sea, I now understand that we are getting 6' seas & gale force winds.... for Sat & Sunday for the South West.
No chance of getting into the Exe then!

weather forecasts ?

I'm sat in Yacht Haven now, and the forecast was for rain and thundery showers. Have had very little wind and bright sunshine all day, marred by a little cloud cover. All in all a glorious day, and I can't believe it's all going to rats**t so quickly. Forecast is awful though....

Looks like you're stuck there till at least Wednesday, about 20 kts of Easterly each day until then! Don't be tempted to try and get into the Exe with this much E, would not be pleasant.

Looks like I'll be launched middle of next week so could see you on the way back. Dived on my mooring today to put some new riser chain on, now totally knackered after carting around about 12 meters of 1/2 and 3/4 inch chain, it's bloody heavy!!
