My local TV news station (Meridian) has always used a background image of traffic passing over Maidstone Bridge on the Medway
Without any consultation or discussion of any kind to ask if the public wants money squandered in this way,they have changed the backdrop picture to one of a differerent bridge over a different bit of water.
I am outraged and am thinking of starting a Bring back our old Bridge campaign among like minded and right thinking people,like wot I am.
In the meantime can anybody tell me where the hell the new background camera is located..
Feed image taken from a traffic camera perhaps?
It has completely stumped me.Only clue is that the river is fairly wide and the odd Thames style launch cruises past every now and then.
Oxford ?....but thats not in our news region !

And its a recording and not live. I thought the Medway one looked live as the weather and daylight changed whilst Henley is always sunny (and the same boat passes every so often!).

I think the complaint should be that Henley is switched to a live feed so the South East can admire our fine collection of vessels on the Thames.
 
Could this have anything to do with your confession on an earlier thread? Have you bribed them to remove incriminating footage?
Any rumours that OG came into intimate contact with Maidstone Bridge after a trailing rope fouled a prop and stalled an engine,may or not be true,depending on who is telling the story.

Anyway, where is this Medway you keep bothering us with? Hardly mainstream south/south east of England which is Meridians manor. Henley much more in tune with the viewing public dontcha know ! :D :D

You worry too much! Get out on your boat and relax before you have a aneurism:)

There is a totally unfounded rumour that a forumite parked their boat immediately under the camera, went below and turned their telly on in order to admire themselves on TV ! ....and were very disappointed. indeed.
 
I liked to see the Maidstone bridge because I was married in the Archbishop's Palace which was visible in the background. I like the backdrop of the Henley bridge though as I'm moored upstream of it even as I type and it feels equally familiar.
