Venturi Fly screen

I need to replace the fly screen on the fly bridge, what type of plastic and where can I get some from. I have been quoted £250 for a sheet much too big for my needs and if it wasn't I wouldn’t pay that for it????
It is a clear plastic and unfortunately was broken in transit.

It is the plastic dodger that you need or some sort of nifty job that is a mesh that stops flys going down your throat when you are motoring fast?

Polycarbonate sheet is tougher. I had a companion way hatch and a chart table cover made at Wrexham Plastics. All nicely cut and heat bent to my plan. Fitted a treat. £150 for the two and that included 2 mts of s/s continuous piano hinge.

Mind you, if you ain't near Wrexham, that's kinda tough, but there must be other platics companies near you.

The trick is not to buy anything "marine"!!

As always - I am amazed and really pleased that so many people - Dave and Hadyn this time can dig down and pull out the answers to problems. As I gain more experience I can give more of the same too because I certainly benefit loads from others advice.
