I need to ventilate the rear cabin on my Channel 31, but I would want to insert a ventilator in the transum and it would need to be power assisted so that the cabin is ventilated when the boat is at rest.

I'd have concerns about putting a ventilator through the transom for a couple of reasons.

1 It's an area where exhaust fumes accumulate
2 Best to preserve the structural integrity of the transom, against fenders, waves etc

Worth considering a dorade box, or mushroom type ventilator on the deck / upper surface so that the cabin has positive extraction in all wind/rain/spray conditions, even when the boat is moored and unattended ?
