Apart from the leader, it looks almost like a raft-up right now....

Five of them within a mile or so of each other..... And Thompson's right in there, with his broken rudder fittings.

Last chance for a bit of 'match racing' before they get scattered before the winds?

Thomson's certainly done well in the light winds - 6th to 3rd but any of the 1st 6 are currently in a great position.

Golding was 330 miles behind the leader at one point - halved that now!

Alex's rudder fittings are broken no more! He fixed it himself whilst sailing at 20 knots and not an autoclave in sight!! Top Man if you ask me!!:cool:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ww4c2WkNPD4&feature=youtu.be

Fully agree - top man! That 7 min video condenses a few hours work - angle grinding at 20 knots is most impressive, and that's after tidying up from the wipe-out and swopping linkages etc. With a bit of luck both Brits will emerge from the doldrums in good shape. COME ON .........

They have now been at it for ten days or 247 hours and five of them are closer to each other than most of the fleet in the average club race....

In what other sport are they so close after so long? That level of competition sort of puts the spread of results in the Olympics into a cocked hat...

I do admire them.... but I think they are barking:)
