Romain Attanasio has dismasted during the Defi Azimut. Leaving time (and, apparently, funds) tight to find and fit a mast. In order to start the 2024 Vendée Globe.



Wonder if that will let James Harayda (pictured here at the New York - Vendee finish, in Les Sables d'Olonne) back in? To bolster the Brit count.

Worked a stopover, in Les Sables, which coincided with the New York - Vendée finish, into the summer cruise. There was a fantastic buzz about the place. With plenty of famous faces (Sam D, top left)…..



…..and their amazing boats, on view. Heaven knows what the main event experience would be like.



You never know who you might bump into, on the pontoons!
